Who do I work with?
Adults navigating grief, anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, burnout, climate anxiety, identity changes and life transitions.

Reaching out for support isn’t easy. You might be arriving here carrying more than you let others see; grief that sits close to the surface, anxiety that flares for reasons you don't understand, or the ache of feeling different, unseen, or out of step with the world around you.

Perhaps something in your life has shifted: a loss, an illness, a changing relationship, the unavailability of the coping tools that once kept you steady or a new awareness of how broken the world around you seems. Many of the people I work with are used to holding everything together and keeping going, until they can’t. On the surface everything looks okay, but inside they’re exhausted.

I offer spaces where the messy underlayers of life are welcome. A place to slow down, breathe, and feel supported. Together we can talk things through, learn, challenge, get creative, reconnect with what matters to you, and figure out what you would like to change.

If you’re here, you probably already sense that we were never meant to struggle or figure everything out alone, but maybe you’ve tried therapy before, and it didn’t quite meet you, or your not sure if it is really for you. That's ok.You don’t need to have everything worked out. Just drop me a message. We’ll take it step by step. I offer a free 20–30 minute initial chat (online or by phone) so you can get a feel for how I work and whether it feels like a good fit.

Together, we can shape a way forward that honours your experience and helps you feel more connected, to yourself, to others, and to life.

What can we work on in Counselling and Psychotherapy sessions?

I offer one‑to‑one counselling and psychotherapy for adults in Derbyshire and across the UK via online therapy.

My nature orientated practice is trauma‑informed, compassionate, and grounded in nervous system awareness, and relational depth and can support with:

  • Grief, loss, and emotional overwhelm

  • Anxiety, low mood, and trauma recovery

  • Chronic illness and long‑term health challenges

  • Relationship changes and family dynamics

  • Climate anxiety and ecological grief

  • Life transitions and identity exploration

  • Reconnecting with your inner rhythm and values

  • Building a life that feels rooted, resilient, and meaningful

I don't offer crisis support or emergency sessions. If you're in acute distress, I'd want you to have something more immediately responsive. What I offer is longer-term, exploratory work for people who want to go a little deeper and have the capacity to show up consistently.

Practicalities: Where, when, how much?

Fees:

Sessions are £60 for fifty minutes.

If you’re unsure whether to proceed, an initial conversation is free and carries no obligation to proceed.

I keep a small number of reduced‑fee spaces for people who need them. If cost is a concern, please mention it when you get in touch.

My usual working days and locations:

  • Monday - Online,

  • Wednesday - Allestree, Derby,

  • Thursday - Matlock and Black Rocks

Sessions are usually weekly to begin with and last around an hour. I offer flexibility where needed, and a 20–30 minute initial chat (online or by phone) to help you sense whether we’re a good fit

Working Together Outside: Nature-Based Therapy in Derbyshire

  • Allestree Park, Derby — a peaceful green space and home to Britain’s largest urban rewilding project

  • Black Rocks, Matlock — dramatic gritstone, woodland, moorland, and wide‑open views
